Lenovo Laptop Price Increases Are Coming: Should You Buy Now?
If new laptops are already on your technology roadmap, buying a little earlier could save your business money.
Lenovo has announced another round of pricing adjustments that will begin impacting systems in September and October 2026. Standard TopSeller pricing is scheduled to change October 1, and Lenovo is recommending orders be placed by August 28 to maximize the likelihood of shipping under current pricing.
The increases come as computer manufacturers continue to deal with significantly higher memory and storage costs. Lenovo has already increased PC prices twice this year in response to these pressures, and other major manufacturers have made similar moves. Reuters recently reported on Lenovo and the impact rising memory costs are having on PC pricing.
What Could Waiting Cost?

The actual increase will vary by laptop and configuration, with systems containing more memory and storage expected to see the greatest impact.
Even a modest increase can add up when you're replacing multiple devices. For example, a 10% increase on a $1,500 laptop is $150 per device -- or $3,000 across 20 laptops.
That doesn't mean businesses should purchase equipment they don't need just to beat a price increase. It does mean that if laptop replacements are already planned for later this year or early 2027, it may make financial sense to accelerate those purchases.
